I can certainly relate to being distracted from Spiritual things, by Worldly things. According to my experiences, Intuition is enhanced through practice, mostly everything in life seems to require practice, or passion to pursue something with absolute focus & attention.

Yea.
Intuition be spiritual common sense.
If you see a white curtain blowing intently off a lavander building from inside, chances are you sense some sort of ability to feel as if some mystical power did it if you prayed all day.
If you see a bag of chips on the sidewalk, "be careful" may be good intuition if you feel just out there somewhere.
etc. etc.
If you see an argument, intuition says its time to relax.
If you are playing video games and win the game battle, intuition tells you that you're great.
