Today.

Post by Vanilla2 on October 11th 2009, 10:04 am

"TODAY
Be grateful now for little things.
The flowers, a tree, a bird that sings.
For friends and loved ones far and near
For health, for strength, for all held dear.
And thank the Lord, to whom we pray,
Whose love goes with us every day.
Just try your best in all you do
And the best in turn comes back to you.
Be grateful, thankful, loving, kind
And joy in living each day you'll find.
Whate'er you do, whenever you go,
Trust in the Lord. He loves you so."

A beautiful inspiring poem Vanilla. I love to read this sort of poetry which reminds us of the blessings in our lives. It is human nature that we take things for granted and need a nudge now and again.

Thank you all, so true, sometimes we do become blind to nature even though its right there in front of us.

I think sometimes we need to keep coming back to this poem, if only as a daily reminder.

A thanking's worth, a humbling's plea.
Having the esteem
Respecting the worth.
Making a living of being secured in thank yous.
Loving to be filled up with generosity and powerful appreciating.
Making a temple of our thank yous,
Making it mandatory to be able to exhale again.
Keeping good news in mind at all times, now we are somebodies after that.
