In Honor of Rumi ::

Rumi well it looks like he left behind a treasure of writings,but the amazing part is that it has been able to be found and translated after what 1000 years or more.Yes a very Happy birthday is in order for Rumi,and thankyou for your spiritual writings that you have left the world to enjoy and learn from. :,^,:

Any teachings that centre around love, has earnt my respect.

I love his quote, that after looking for God he is right their in our own heart. Liberatedsoul.

Another wonderful blog liberatedsoul :lovesigh: i see something amazing of who Rumi was, he was very intuitive and extremely open minded and saw something many other people could not see. To me Rumi was a Seer & a true Visionary. He followed his guidance within, something many of us must learn to do sometime during our earthly lives.

I agree with everyones responses. Rumi's writings had such an impact on the sufi, sant mat, and other religions that I am pretty sure it was never lost over time. This likely accounts for us having so much of his writings today. His words are included in many books and there are number of translations available.

This is perhaps an interesting difference between the east and the west. Christianity purposely excluded much of its early writing and we are now discovering these lost writings and translations are being made. By comparison there is a huge wealth of eastern writings that have been preserved and reveared continuously.
