Buddhist Chant & Prayer with Tina Turner

Post by HypnoDude on December 11th 2008, 1:18 am

I am an avid and loyal fan of Tina Turner, and was blessed to be able to see her in concert again just last month. Anyway........ As some of you may know, Ms. Turner is a Buddhist.

Here is an interview of Ms. Turner with Larry King that took place some time in the 90's where she describes her Faith and shares a Buddhist Chant and Prayer. It is beautiful, especially with her unique and powerful voice.

Very nice video, she is such a spiritually charismatic person. A wonderful inspiration. I loved hearing her sing back in the 80's Smile I feel learning some chants would help me a great deal, clearing the mind and aligning and balancing the chakras. Thanks for sharing this video.

I have to ask, how was seeing tina turner in concert?

Many Blessings

Thank you for the comment. I agree, Ms. Turner is a very Spiritually Charismatic Spirit isnt she!? Among being Buddhist, she is also a Homeopath. Wink

Anyway to answer your question..... Words cannot describe the experience! This was my second time to see Tina Live. The first being in 2000 on what was suppose to be her "Retirement Tour". Which eight years later she came out of "Retirement" even though she has done some private shows throughout Europe since that last tour in 2000.

Tina has a stage presence which is indescribable. The only way I would attempt to describe the energy her Spirit shines is to say that Tina's energy radiates an almost indescribable energy that I feel, its an energy of great Respect, its an energy of great Admiration, its an energy of great Appreciation, its an energy of great Inspiration, its an energy that feels so Pure and full of Love, its an energy that is Spiritual, its an energy that makes me want to Dance and not care who might see me, its an energy that takes all negativity completely away from me each and every time I seek to absorb it, even through just playing her CD.

The show in Atlanta on November 9th, was beyond incredible. Ms. Turner, at the age of 68, entertained for just over 2 hours. Clothing changes, high heels that make your ankles hurt just watching her move about in them, dance moves of someone half her age, fireworks, pyro, clips of her 50 year career, extravagant staging was just some of what the show entailed. The absolute best thing I witnessed that night, was to see people who were 65+ years of age, boogy in the stands like they were reliving the chapter of their life when Tina was most popular. Absolutely an experience of a lifetime. Worth every penny.

The following link is from a Tina Fan Forum where I am a member, and has reviews and pics from the show I attended. Including more detail about the show.

Ok, as you see, The subject of Tina is easy for me to get carried away.... I will end my post right there! Laughing 8)

Wow that is amazing, i feel like i wish i had gone to this concert Very Happy I have been to concerts as a teenager, but i never felt what you felt here at her concert. What i got from the concerts ive been to was ringing ears and a hangover. I have changed since then and do not indulge in any form of alcohol. Thank You so much for sharing this experience. What an inspiration she is!

Many Blessings

On September 28, Tina Turner together with Regula Curti and Dechen Shak-Dagsay and a group of 30 children presented their new spirtual album "Children Beyond" in Zurich. This is the follow up to the very successful Beyond album released in 2009. This album is being described as a pharmacy of prayers!
