Alchemy Definition
al-che-my [al-kuh-mee] ~ any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value.
a medieval chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life
Ancient Alchemy Symbols and their oft times cryptic meanings began out of necessity as alchemists disguised their practices from the hugely powerful European church. At the height of its practice, alchemy was considered heretical craft by the church, punishable by death (or worse, torture). The church body at the time viewed alchemy as a way for the practitioner to ascend to salvation outside of the "traditional" church methodology.
Although ancient alchemy symbols were born out of this necessity, the foundation of alchemical practice is based on inner transformation and the achievement of that transformation. As a means for this transmutation, the alchemist utilized the changing properties of matter in addition to the philosophical meanings of the symbols themselves.
The very act of turning base metals to gold is a symbol of (wo)mans ascension and achievement of enlightenment. All things, no matter how banal, hold deeper spiritual symbolic meaning to the alchemist in all of us.
Many Blessings

How very true Spirit-Being.
I've often called the ongoing ascension process THE Alchemical process as that's what we're doing. Denser, lower energies and consciousness in us, our symbolic 3D 'lead'...being transformed into 5D, less dense and more light filled 'gold'. A great topic and amazing that much of humanity is living it now!

yeah, the way I understand it when
various folks have spoken about
for example, a charm; it has more value
when someone has put their LOVE into it
and when worn or kept by the other or themselves
it had alchemy added making it magical for the beholder...LOL
have a loving day.....

Intention
I believe that so much of what we do is filled with value by intention. The same recipe made by someone who loves you and someone who doesn't, has an entirely different nourishing effect. Amazing...must be the love

How true this is d-knots when we put love into something it feels so amazing & beautiful. My girlfriends son once told her your food always tastes so good because you cook with love. :lovesigh:

Well said glowray during my (reiki classes/reiki healing) we were taught that our intention is very important, and what we put our intention on will help with the healing. When i do reiki healing my intention is to open up and allow for the reiki energy to flow through me to provide the person/animal/plant... in need.
Love is what we all need, giving Love and receiving Love helps each of us shine much brighter, the most brightest of beacons
we will become. Many Blessings

My children think I am old fashion but what they don’t understand (yet) is how much I appreciate the value in the old ways of doing things because of the energy and love that goes into them.
Food dishes cooked by a loving hand, one who while cooking is content and enjoying the process of preparing such as cutting vegetables and kneading bread cannot be beat in my mind.
A stone wall built by a master craftsmen from local rocks which have been chipped away to create a piece of art cannot be compared to a processed molded stone wall you buy at the hardware depot and slap together in one afternoon.
Giving thought and intent to a nice baby shower gift for someone is so much nicer than going on line and picking one of many “registered” desired gifts.
The list goes on but it is very obvious to me the value that goes into anything we do that has our good intentions and love.
I think this way we act as one with all that is, allowing the flow of life to energize our works turning them into gold.
Peace and Blessings,
WhiteShaman
