Disappear Re-Appear

Post by Vanilla2 on October 16th 2010, 10:34 am

A strange occurrence happened to me last night in bed. I was completely awake reading my book which had 2 bookmarks inside, one being a pink and white bookmark at a page I stopped reading so I could jump ahead, the other a blue bookmark at the last page ready for reading again. The last page bookmark as always I lay on the bed duvet to my right side, I then turn to my left to read as its nearest my table lamp. When I had had enough reading (still awake) I turned to place my blue bookmark back, no bookmark was to be seen, so still laying in bed I fluffed up the duvet to make it straight, still no sign, I looked on the floor both sides, still no sign, I lifted the top end of the duvet in case it had slipped underneath, still no sign, (just to mention I am an organised person, rarely do I lose or misplace anything). I also checked the books pages in case it was inside but I know I laid it on top of my duvet. I didn't want to take the other bookmark out because I would lose that page when I was ready to go back to reading from there, but I also wanted to bookmark the page I was currently up to, so I decided I had no choice but to use the other bookmark, OK here's the strange bit, as I turned to my left to pick up the book (the book was about 18 inches from where I lay the bookmark) I grabbed hold of the book but didn't get to actually pick it up, so definitely nothing fell out nor did anything fall out and fall 18 inches away from it to my right. I looked to my right one more time, and can you believe it, there was my blue bookmark laying in the spot that I placed it down, where did it go? how did it miraculously re-appear from nowhere? Has anything ever disappeared then reappeared to you, right under your eyes, and in the same spot that you left it? Was there someone in my room playing games with me? If so why?

Photo of duvet and that missing bookmark..........

Apologies I meant to post this in the "unexplained"

Very Interesting Vanilla2

This has happened to me with Remotes, Pens, and many other objects. I never quite understood what had happened my Mind wanted to come up with a rational answer, i thought maybe i misplaced, the objects, and maybe sometimes i did, but there were times i knew i put objects down in a place, and to find that they were no longer there. It can be frustrating, when you place an object and your wondering where it could have gone. Keep a close eye on things and see if it continues to happen, you may actually be able to document it with consistency, or maybe whatever had moved this object, may just be curious about it, or may be playing games.

Many Blessings

Thank you Spirit-Being for your explanation, this is the first time this has happened to me, I have heard of something going missing then turning up elsewhere, but this turned up in basically the same spot where I put it down, almost as if it was there all the time, but it definitely wasn't. Someone or something I suspect was playing a trick on me, I shall definitely be watching for anything else that's unusual, or maybe this is just a one off.

I would just like to mention that this is normally a subject I would be a little sceptic of, but I am not now.
