To realize the value...
To realize
The value of a sister/brother
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.
To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.
To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.
To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.
To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.
To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
Who has given birth to
A premature baby.
To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the a train, bus or plane.
To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.
Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
You can share it with someone special.
To realize the value of a friend or family member:
LOSE ONE.
The origin of this letter is unknown, it was forwarded to me via email today, found it eye opening, hope you got something out of it too.

Re: To realize the value...
That for some strange reason this has left an impact. Maybe because of those, what I call "wasted" days, that to many, would do anything to get them back again and relive those last moments with their loved one.

It kind of puts a spring in your step,
and makes you feel glad to be alive.

I am newborn to put my trust in things as I myself am anew to being a lawyer to God of things people do for me for free-sake, so the comfort of life may render obviously the way it should. Amen.
This what we call realizing the value is worth being spiritual warrior over.
This is as spiritual as it may get to the fuller extended and evolved.

This says so much to me Linda ....
2 years ago I survived a head on car crash, and in my mind I can still see the split second of the impact, and how everything seemed to happen almost in slow motion, even though it happened in the blink of an eye. I can remember what I was thinking, and how violent it all felt, and truly I do realise and appreciate the value of one single second.
An experience such as this gives you a whole new perspective on life, and the immense value of your family and friends. You realise how precious life is, and how easily it can be taken away. Also in the past 18 months, my dear old mum, my eldest sister, and my brother in law have all passed away, and that is when you really understand the value of family.
Take the time to be with your family, and let them know from time to time what they mean to you, and how much you love them. I managed to do this particularly with my mum.
Fortunately because I had the car crash, I managed to see my mum everyday while I was at home recovering from my injuries, as I used to walk up the small hill to her house. If I had been going to work as normal every day, I would have missed these extra moments with her, so in a way, I am glad I had the accident. It sounds a funny thing to say, but if I had to go through it all again I would in a heartbeat, if it meant that I could have those precious moments again with her.

A truly inspiring story Soul Searching, again as I say, everything happens for a reason, and I'm sure your mother was blessed in that precious time spent whilst in each others company.

Re: To realize the value...
Thanks Vanilla2
I too, am of the opinion that this is one of those life experiences that happened to me for a reason.
Before this day, I was spiritualy meandering (if that makes sense) but since, I am thinking about the whole life/death/God/soul question a whole lot more .... my spiritual journey really started that day, though it took me a while to see it.

To Realize the value of Finding Peace
Speak to those who are in a War.
To Realize the value of inner Peace,
ask the dish which was throw and broke into a million pieces.
To Realize the value of a bread crumb,
ask a hungry mouse.
To Realize the Value of a Divine force,
feel how empty you can become in uncertain moments.
TO Realize the Value of each and everyONE.......
Die to your beliefs and pay attention to the NOW.
Great thread, Linda!
