Happy Thanksgiving/Last harvest

Post by canadianmind on October 12th 2009, 1:12 pm

THanksgiving is more of a North American holiday. Long story short its was a meal between the natives and the colonists to give thanks. But for centeries before, pagans druids and many many more cultures and religions used this time of year to celebtate the last harvest, and give thanks to mother earth and father sky to be able to have such a bounty, and be able to survive for another winter.

So even if you dont celebtate thanksgiving, i hope today you give thanks for what we have right now. Id like to say right now im thankful to be able to use this forum to grow as a person, and help people grow themselves. Im thankful for the fact that we can speak freely on here, and not be critisized about our beliefs. Im thankful for the knowlege that we get from each other. Im thankful for my family letting me stay here while i get back on my feet. Im thankful to be healthy, and generaly happy, and in word ALIVE! Im thankful to the trees, the air, the sky, the sun, the planets, the dirt, water.... Well ill just say im thankful for EVERYTHING that i am blessed to have, see or seen , and be a part of.
